I mean, there’s a reason my phone autocompletes his email and website url, I’ve given it out so many times over the last 12 months :joy:

Jaco mentioned something about a config file backup which he’s restoring to mine

@JacoDeJongh do you have the config file backups for mine as well? :stuck_out_tongue:

I might attempt a firmware update too over the weekend or so – currently on v2.73. Need to hook up Home Assistant and Wifi onto a UPS first.

Have never had any alarms on my system (Multiplus 1) in the 20 months I’ve had it though - touch wood - it is probably one of the most reliable computers and hardware I own

If you have a changeover switch in front of the multi you can also have your house running on the grid during the upgrade in which case the internet won’t go down.

The firmware update in question here is for the Multi. v2.73 is still the latest official release for the GX device, while 489 is now the latest firmware release for the Multi.

I’m of the school of thought that you don’t upgrade firmware if it works properly. The only reason to update firmware is if there is a serious bug of some sort, otherwise I leave it alone.

D’oh, after that was discussed earlier in the thread. Sorry!

Multi’s firmware is on 469. But yeah, never had the need to upgrade just yet. I’ll wait for the error to occur – if ever.

Explain this … no, don’t.

I never had the error, one day, someone called me: Did you have the same error, being in Cpt?
Nope, I did not.

But I was jinxed … few days later after some more LS, I got the same error.
Upgraded all the firmwares, my gut told me too, problem fixed since then.

Note: I run release Candidates … so there is that to factor in too … but don’t.

Here I am again:-P good morning and a lovely stage 6 to all…

Got the same overload L1 at 2am this morning. Minor loads of less than 300 watts, full battery.

Multi ii firmware on 470. I have noticed have a more pronounced dip when the switchover happens - enough to make the ups on the network bits get shouty.

So… Do I upgrade that firmware?

No, nobody will thank you if an FW upgrade goes awry.
So, right now if you have off-grid power you don’t breathe on your equipment.
FW upgrades can wait until a stretch when the grid becomes more reliable.
