Don’t see it here,

Any idea how to get an API key/Token

Website just says:

This is invite only

did this 2 days ago…
still waiting for a token

For me, I just want to switch my inverter to inverter only via node-red 5 minutes before load shedding kicks in. With my PV array in full sun and grid draw less than 30w (setpoint), I still regularly experience multiple devices switch off when load shedding kicks in.
Still waiting for my API key though…

Same here, myself and @RClegg have not had a response

I am not in any way affiliated with eskomsepush and do not know anything about their infrastructure, but there have been some major DDOS attacks over the past 2 days that could possibly affect mail delivery etc.

I wonder why anyone would do that. Probably the “oh you guys are making bank off this disaster… ergo you are a part of the conspiracy” group.

what, against EskomSePush specifically?

doubt anything is aimed at eskomsepush specifically, and don’t know if they are even affected. was just pointing out that there are some DDOS going around that may affect many things on the wonderful interweb

Update, just received it

Finally got my API key!

Thanks @ebendl code works 100%

Finally got around to playing a bit more with this (ie: stealing large swathes of yaml from @ebendl  )
Pure heads-up display for now, no automations or logic based off it:

Many Thanks

First couple of posts in the thread, but @tinuva’s work is probably quite improved on mine!

Mine still going strong, although I haven’t tested to see what happens if there’s no loadshedding or nothing forecast. Currently traveling abroad though, so hopefully it won’t leave the family in a pinch should Eskom manage to kill LS tomorrow (haha).

I suspect a bunch of the template sensors will go into unavailable state. So as long as automations take that into consideration, it should be ok.

That is also, I start with automations that only send notifications initially. So that I can get a real life result and observation as to what to expect from the automations before letting it switch devices or settings etc.

Thanks for the examples @ebendl and @tinuva made my life easy.
Either of you noticing that your api limit decreases by more than 1 on refresh?
My count drops by 1,2 or 3 at times
