Victron quattro 10kva inverter overload fault

Do you know if Victron program SN on the power boards to sink with the main board?
Or does the Main only get the SN programming?

Don’t know but I doubt it. If I did know, I’m not sure that’s info I could just readily share either

What I do not understand is if they do not share info why is all the FW available on the Dropbox and with VEFLASH you can program the EEPROM and then also program the SN into the PIC18F…?

What do they do with all the right off boards? We struggle to get PCB manufacturing going because there is not components available anymore.

1 and 1 do not make sense anymore

Given there openess already I think they have the right to at least some IP. They are brilliant at what they do and if you compare them to others, well.

Just the https://community.victronenergy.com/index.html is a brilliant forum for issue resolution.

They are excellent product to my opinion one of the best.

It’s encrypted. And it isn’t everything. The microcontroller has a separate bootloader that knows how to load the firmware, and you don’t have that, so you cannot program it.

Yes that part I know.
There is bootloader and SW and then on the EEPROM there is FW that control IO interfaces.

If you had everything to make/repair your own boards… then the counterfeiters would also have everything to make their own boards. So the situation, where you cannot program your own microcontroller, is entirely due to the existence of counterfeiters.

Agree totally that why will trouble shoot on what I currently got with me.
The only thing would be if parts was bit more available with less red tape but I also understand IP and existence of companies and products with work security.
