I remember back in the 80s there was a town in then then western Transvaal that had just one robot, and it wasn’t even on all day. It was kept in the OK Bazaars and wheeled out for the afternoon rush hour (such as it was). I’m thinking Klerksdorp but I’m really not sure.
Anybody else remember this or, better, remember with more detail?
