so i managed to get it to work. I completely uninstalled Node-red and deleted the node red folder under the config directory and then rebooted. I then re-installed NR and then re-configured each component 1 by 1 and the inverter now shows as connected. now i just need to figure out how to add the dashboards to influx and energy section etc etc.
This is the first chance I’ve had to try this again, and Success!!!
The solution to my problem was actually so simple, and it was because @werner-potgieter just happened to post a picture of his connection!
I’ve been plugging the cable into the RS485 Connector, I’ve just tried the BMS485 Connector and it just worked!
The scripts above all work if you set the unit to unit 1

Hi Tariqe - hope you can help want to connect my Seplos via CAN to Sunsynk using Pylontech emulation…did you use a modified ethernet cable to connect can you advise … cheers
