You can see the epoxy on the stolen orange batteries - they were already trying to prevent the theft. But R1.2M for 8 batteries? That’s a bit steep. Probably includes replacement and re-installation costs.

Have a look at the batteries encased in concrete. Sad.

That must be a mistake. The street value of these would be much less than retail, and R1.2 million sounds way too much for even that.
