I keep seeing these ads which doesn’t give me a warm and cosy feeling…
Ugh, definitely concerned about one of my older Pylontech’s (Nr 3 here) too:
#1 is a Pylontech US3000C, replaced the original US3000B last year
#2 and #3 are from the original Pylontech US3000B that I had.
Average voltage wise they seem to be more or less the same:
But for everything else they’re very misaligned with one another. No idea why #1 (the newer battery) behaves differently in SOC (I’m assuming it is because it is a newer battery and thus a different algorithm?). But #3 tends to drop in SOC incredibly fast when it reaches a certain point, which was definitely not the case a year ago.
And looking at highest cell voltages and lowest cell voltages I have some concerns too:
Any thoughts?
I should probably disconnect the whole lot this weekend and look for swollen cases…
Well my battery was delivered to the supplier I used. They will now send it to Pylontech or do whatever they require testing wise.
All I know is, the swollen battery is off my property. Don’t want a battery fire anywhere close to me.
If they fix it or replace it, it will be a win. If not, I don’t want it back haha.
