Possible alternative for expensive type-B RCD?

Hi all,

A customer told me about this device today. It is a type-A RCD, but it has detection for DC leakage up to 6mA built in. Intended for electrical vehicle supply equipment.

Still around 250 Euro though…

If you can get your current requirement down to 40A (which I think is doable for essential circuits), you can get a proper Type B for €100 more.

Given that the last type-A I bought (which has some transient aka nuisance tripping resistance) was about that much, for a 25A breaker… probably not a bad idea!
