if i split the cat5e as in diagram each ipc gets power and data… your comment pse
this could have bearing on @Phil.g00 s planned setup as it will save on cabling
nb my setup uses max 40m at 100mbps with cat5 or cat5e

EDIT: THE IMAGE REGARDING POE WIRING MODE-B IS UNTESTED! I WILL POST AS SOON AS I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY WIRED A CONNECTION LIKE THIS!

the above DID NOT WORK - not only did it not work to power two Hikvision pro poe series cameras [see image of box] but i have this afternoon read that it is NOT RECOMMENDED! [see image].
now for the dreaded plan Z - that is to provide another cable to the position, hence every ipc its own cat5
