Luckily you don’t have to get out on a wet sailboat to start your orientation: The Ocean Race is under way at the moment and presently the boats are on their way to Cape Town. If you switch on the winds icon you will see the wind speed and direction.
You will notice how far off course the boats are from the shortest route to Cape Town (the dotted line). This is so the boats can take advantage of the strongest winds.
Needless to say these weather patterns are changing continuously…
