Opinion on Xstream Geysers?

Hi All,

I am new to this forum after being referred here from another forum.

I heard about Xstream Geysers recently and was wondering if anyone can give a little insight as to their products or an opinion on the brand in general, is it a reliable investment?

I have read on a few of the posts here that people have installed fiberglass geysers, are these referring to Xstream tanks?

I also had a look at their website after receiving some good reviews on another forum and found this document: https://xstream.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Plumbers-write-up-graph_May24-web.pdf

Would the plumbers here agree with their findings? I found it quite an interesting read and learned a few new things.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I had one at my previous house (Xstream tank with a solar collector). It was still there when I sold the house, about 8 years later. Never had any trouble with it.

I heard rumours that sometimes the tanks crack, around the same area (where the pipes connect) as you’d normally spring the first leak when a steel tank corrodes. I never observed any cracks or reasons for concern on our tank though.

I should probably drive past there some time and check if it is still there.
