City of CT arrived and replaced my spinning meter with a new Conlog three pase meter a few days ago. It seems to cope well with my system which is on one phase only as there are grid feed in spikes when the kettle etc switches off and it hasn’t tripped. I suspect it bills me for the reverse spikes which are insignificant. Very happy with it so far as I was expecting a headache. JFYI
Please post a pic of this…
They locked the slide box as the few short exposed connections in the box are being stolen by strollers around here. I’ll take a hot through the very old window.
Why do you have a 3 phase supply?
It would have been for the underfloor heating when the house was built. I occasionally use it to shed excess PV in Winter which isn’t too often.
I need to have a closer look some time as this three phase unit appears to self consume a fair bit. I’ll disconnect from Eskom for 24 hours over the holidays and see if it’s measureable. I appear to lose units despite no import or export. This may be due to low resolution monitoring on my system not revealing import/export everytime when loads are switched. It’s not a problem, just mentioning it as an observation.
Ran the house disconnected from the Conlog 3ph for the night and no evidence of self consumption billed to the home so all is good.
Does that mean disconnected from the grid?
Yes, I just flipped the mains breaker on the DB to off.
