Lemoen battery not fully charging

Bought a Lemoen battery 5.12Kwh connected to a Must Inverter; charging using the grid. It will fully charge to 3 bars but won’t fill the 4th bar. When I increase the range above 54v the fourth bar is starting to charge but then after a bit it trips. Anyone experienced this before? Your input will be highly appreciated.

Have never heard of that brand until this morning. Either South African made, or a Chinese company who slapped an Afrikaans name on it to make it sell  (Lemoen means Orange, the fruit, in Afrikaans, which is also reflected in the logo).

If it trips at 54V my guess is that it is a 15-cell battery (54V is 3.6V per cell). My guess is you’re just dealing with a BMS that’s not resetting the SOC to 100% properly (I’ve also seen this on Dyness).

To get it to reset, increasing the charge voltage is probably the right idea. You didn’t say what your charge voltage is programmed to. Ideally you want to charge to 51.8V (3.45V per cell), which is more than enough for most LFP batteries, but will likely not reset the SOC estimate. The next step is 52.5V (3.5V per cell). If that does not work, try 53.2V (3.55V per cell). If that does not work… accept that you bought a cheaper battery and the SOC indicator is a little broken. It should continue to work fine even though the SOC indicator is a little off.

Thank you so much so discovered that it was due to low voltage from main supply. Problem sorted and everything is working great.
