… either way they are losing it, albeit piece for piece, and its all on/in the head
Problem with this all, this article gives a view of how dangerous things are in the US of A.
“Feels like” the world is getting deeply “gatvol”.
Rich richer (actually their wealth has dipped apparently) but the rest is still getting deeper and deeper into debt due to cost of living.
And unusual weather patterns are NOT helping.
As in the USA, seems all it needs is a spark at the wrong moment … Israel drama, Ukraine, NATO and Russia, China and Taiwan, N/Korea …
all I can say is that the weather makes more sense than Trump or Biden - after days of clouds we guys on the West Coast at last get a bit of sunshine, which seems totally lacking in US politics
I was saying the same thing in a conversation yesterday. We probably all have our opinions. In 2016, I felt that both candidates were poor options, but that Trump was the slightly better option. In 2020, I felt much the same, that both were poor options, but that Biden was the slightly better option. Now, in 2024, I again feel that both are very poor options… and for goodness sake what is Trump doing here again? You had your change, surely the Republican party has some young hungry guy chomping at the chain, trying to make a difference?
But, regardless of how I feel, when the bullets starts flying, something has gone wrong. And the backlash should not be underestimated.
…seems we have forgotten about the Cape Flats - killing fields if ever there was - cops will not attend to shooting incidents after sundown; much like Philadelphia in the US, when I was there in the early 90s I was regularly joined by cops in the bar of the hotel there telling me they’d rather come there for a drink than attend gang wars in some of Philly’s suburbs- cheers to that
which reminds me of what Einstein replied to the journo asking him with what weapons WWlll will be fought - Albert said he thinks with Nukes, but as to WW4 he was sure it would be fought with sticks and stones
When we agree on these type of matters, it scares me.
I don’t like to be right with bad stuff possibly happening.
