I am about to purchase the PressureWave tank (the 5 year guarantee one) to go with an existing hurricane 1.1kw pump that is a bit on the loud side. I was told this may be a good option in order to prevent stop start on the pump. What you have just mentioned, this may be something to consider but I would like to know more. Is there someway that I can get into contact with this person?
Anyone have experience with this Pressure wave tanks? How effective is it and does it give problems?
These are normally referred to as pressure vessels and it looks like this is just another supplier. Are they claiming itâs special in any way??
Nothing special I guess except they donât rust and I guess its more robust. I donât have experience with these tanks, It was recommended by an irrigation expert. If I can avoid the stop start on the booster pump, which this tank serves as purpose to alleviate the pressure deficit then I guess this is the option to consider unless someone else says something different.
Are they made of stainless steel or some other non corrosive metal?
yes as per the link I attached in the earlier post
I had a look at the pdf doc but it looks like they use regular tanks with a special coating. They all have a special coating. In the good old days the tanks were made of thick steel and were galvanized. When they rusted through you could do a repair job. The modern tanks are a couple of mm and once they corrode through in one place then itâs surely corroded elsewhereâŚ
