IEEE P2030.10 standard for DC Micro grids for Rural and Remote Electricity Access Applications

This is a recorded webinar about IEEE P2030.10 standard for DC Microgrids for Rural and Remote Electricity Access Applications.

The motivation for this standard is to address the parts of the world that do not have a grid.
The cost of implementing a grid is often prohibitive (what they refer to as top-down) so the process will begin by standalone microgrids that start up grow into bigger systems (bottom up)
If you are fortunate enough to live in a country with an established and reliable grid this development will not be relevant to you. However for those of us living here in Africa this has major significance.

I wonder if they will standardise on plugs/sockets for this as well (did not watch the 1h video)
