Grid Current Limit Max = 15A

I currently cannot increase the Grid Current Limit (GCL) above 15A on my GX device.

Newly paralleled Multiplus II’s - VE Configure value set to 50A so that is correct - been repeated 2x already… I thought I was mistaken initially.

It looks like ESS (is it?) is overriding my select value so even if I increase the GCL to 25A it stays at 15A (ie 30A for the system, 2x 15A for each MP)

I may be missing something

Yes: I know 30A is about 7000w so it could also be a limit from the BMS/MP’s capacity/etc - I am just wondering about the reason.

Are you using DESS in South Africa? I rather doubt there’s even pricing for that…

I haven’t got it enabled so let me edit to ESS  … Your thoughts on the 15a issue

I have set it up and tested it… TOU tariffs inputted etc. I’m sure you can use it…
If you have a TOU meter I guess it will work - waiting for mine in the new year at some stage…

Oh hang on, I’ve seen this! You’re using the peak shaving option, right, and that is set to something lower? I noticed that for some reason the shore current limit override sent to the Multi also affects the AC current input. I reported this to the developers involved as well. Check the firmware changelog for the Multi firmware, I think that’s where the issue is? I can also do it later…

Ja. That may be it… It should not be so in my thinking …

If I increase the peak shaving and then the Grid Current Limit also increases.
I have set Peak shaving off for the moment…

I upgraded to the latest firmware before I did the parallel setup.
