ESS Minimum SoC limitation

Its his problemList[3] :stuck_out_tongue:

Or, perhaps even better: Replace the “Self-consumption above limit” setting (that can currently be either PV, battery or both) with two SOC percentages, one for battery self-consumption and one for PV self-consumption.

… or roll your own with NodeRed. That’s why it is there

I’m busy looking at the latest nodes in Venus OS 3.00 and as far as I can tell it doesn’t look like a trivial task. I would like to, for example, allow PV self-consumption above the ESS Minimum SOC, but battery self-consumption only above 90% SOC. It doesn’t look like it is possible to adjust the scheduled charge settings via Node-RED, which would have made this fairly easy.

I’m currently adjusting the ESS Minimum SOC based on the time of the day. It mostly works, but on bad weather days the battery tends to bounce around the minimum, which is not great.

You might need to go to the BETA then as v3.10~16 brought this in with node-red-contrib-victron v1.4.33:

  • Support for reading from and writing to ESS schedules.

Used to do that. With the weather, it does not work.

What goes into/out of the batts, works more accurately.
