I recently replaced the incandescent bulb in my digidoor ii garage opener with a LED light, now the LED does not want to turn off.
When I press the light toggle switch on the wall console, you can hear the relay clicking but the light remains on, it does not go off ever.
the old bulb did not do this,
do anybody here have any idea of what is going on?(or why its not going off)
I’ve had this before. It happens with CFL bulbs as well - they glow faintly but definitely.
A couple of years back I took advantage of a special to replace my door motor. Annoyingly the new motors are fitted with an LED bulb that works perfectly.
It is something to do with the neutral connection. I also had a light fitting in my house where a CFL bulb would always glow even when the switch was off. Sort of a full glow when on and a half glow when off.
I have a similar problem but the bulb just becomes very dim. When it’s meant to come on, it gets bright again.
I have learnt to live with it. I would suggest trying another brand of bulb.
