Haha you’d be surprised what interesting things the current stock shortages cause. We bought a new car last year.
We had to buy a car due to an accident. I didn’t want to buy new, but I’m also not comfortable servicing my own car, so we were looking for cars not much older than a year, so that I’ll be getting maximum time on the warranty.
No stock at all. And if there is, the prices were very close to that on new vehicles anyways. So we ended up buying new. Buying new wasn’t without issues, because we struggle to get stock also. Phoned multiple dealerships and eventually sourced one from JHB. If I were to sell now, I’ll get more for it than what I paid.
The car market is a little weird at the moment. It should stabilise again…
