Bypass Sunsynk inverter wifi dongle?

Hi to all - especially the Sunsynk squad - can the Sunsynk 8kW inverter support a direct wired connection to a router via its RS485 wifi dongle port (e.g., with an RS485-to-Ethernet converter), or is the WiFi dongle required for data processing and communication or a proprietary handshake?
i want to bypass the dongle if possible - even if it requires another cable.

gabriel
something like such:

Hi Gabriel,

We make software that runs on a raspberry pi, and uses an RS485 cable to connect to the Sunsynk. It’s called SMH, and you can find more information about it on our website (www.centurionsolar.co.za). Using this we don’t have any downtime like Sunsynk has, we have a TWO SECOND UPDATE TIME as opposed to the 10 minute Sunsynk time, we support loadshedding integration, home automation through Home Assistant, smart profiles which lets you capture a bunch of settings on the inverter and save it as a profile, so you can easily run the profile and it will change the required settings on the inverter. This is perfect for changing between grid and off-grid, rainy days, quick charge modes, etc etc… Best is, you can download it free from my website (click on shop) and try it out for 7 days to decide if you want to use it. I also stock the RS485 cables, should you now want to make your own. Have a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Do you have the same for Deye inverters ?

And maybe for Luxpower?
