Best Battery Backup System for Homes

Hello,
With load shedding getting worse, I’m looking into battery storage solutions like Lithium-ion vs. Lead-acid. If you have a home backup battery, which one do you recommend, and how long does it last during outages?"

For backup power Li-Ion beats lead acid batteries hands down.
The only place I still see for lead acid is for starting engines due to their ability to supply heavy current for a short period.

Lithium. You will pay more up front, but you will save in the long run as they last way longer and can be run down to low remaining charge with more regularity.

For me, you need to look at the inverter and battery/ies as a combination. Not all inverters are compatible with all batteries and vice versa. Checking the compatibility box makes life easier going forward.
