Whats the average cost to supply and fit a 600w panel. i mean cabling, frame, labor.
it use to be about R3000/3500 when this party started with 300w’s and as panel sized increased the cost of the new panel replaced the old, but the extra bits stayed the same.
so if we did say a 6 panel array we looked at 20-24k.
I just got a quote handed where we north of avg of R5000/panel… feeling like i’m having to pay for a battling solar industry.

What roof are they mounting on?
Something does not make sense.
Rough comparison below. Installation estimated as I dont know the setup, Can drop to about 50% depending on roof and rout to system.

Installation roughly R7500
Total R25432.24 / 6 = R4238.70/p
ye… was hoping for R20k… 25k is a push, but quote is north of R30k atm…

3 on frames side of house against wall.
cable run length is max 20m.
i asked a 2nd supplier to quote, and have a 3rd, friend of my sparky that does solar also popping by tomorrow.

Buy the hardware and do the job yourself!
Tiled roof isn’t difficult. Just use the correct roof brackets that are made for this.
P.S. If you find a bargain I’ll take some as well…

hehehe ye that roof of mine is no installers friend…
the last installer stop taking all calls from me after installation… aka he quoted without going into the roof, was floeking every day his guys were in there, attaching the frames to the inside.
