I also had some weird LED displays before I installed solar, raised the issue here: Victron Unknown LED display
I think it all depends on how you have your MP configured.
float, absorption, bulk, etc. are all things invented for lead acid batteries. Lithium batteries don’t really use that. The BMS now manage the individual cells which is much better. But it is hard for people to make the change in thinking.
I would not worry too much about what stage and LEDs are showing if you have litium batteries.
I’m sitting here wondering why you see Absorption/Float at all. For managed batteries, it should say “Ext. Control” on the screen. Maybe old Venus firmware?
I think they are talking about the LED lights on the Multiplus.

Yes, the LED lights. Mine does show Ext. Control on VRM and remote console.
You can ignore those LED lights.
