Solar on a small scale

I remember that in the 1980s there was a part of Eldorado Park (the then coloured township south of Johannesburg) that was known as “Kersiedorp” because it had no power. That Kersiedorp is no more, but I was unhappily surprised to find that in this day and age there are still settlements, near a major urban center that have no services at all.

But there’s a solution and it looks like it’s working.

For these folks three light sockets and a cell phone charge is a step up!
