Hello there.
So I ‘caught’ Herotel hammering in copper earthing rods along my and my neighbour’s boundary fence today. They intend on attaching these to a cable running up to two of their signal towers on the top of the koppie behind us, the 1st tower being about 300m away and the 2nd about 1km away. The closest rod to me is about 20m, on the SE corner of my erf.
As it stands a lightning strike on the koppie already trips my outbuilding DB, the one closest to the fence.
I don’t like this. Seems fraught.
So two questions:
- Is this a problem, these few extra million Volts?
- Does anyone know which Dept at Council (for Pretoria/Tshwane) I need to speak to if it is a problem.
Thanks
