Coal is not dead!

The world’s consumption of coal, its leading source of electricity generation, will reach a record high of 8.85bn metric tons this year, according to the International Energy Agency. The official forecaster stated in its annual report that it anticipates a “gradual” decline in consumption by 2030, particularly as China—the world’s largest burner of coal—rapidly expands its clean-energy capacity.

Interestingly in Zimbabwe they are trying to invest in mining it more… there has been a recent uoroar about a find in the national park….. hmmm.

Interesting stats on coal scary that consumption is at a record high! Your setup with the 12v 500Wh LFP, Solis 3.6 kW inverter, SMA Sunny Island, and Trojan 225Ah batteries looks solid. LFPs will give better efficiency and longer life. Are you using it mainly off-grid or with grid-tied solar?

Shure! These are for my dedicated 12V supply around the house and power most lights etc. They are charged only when the battery inverter enables the non-essential load output.
